At Alford Tiles and Woodburning Stove Company we do everything possible to protect our customers' privacy and to ensure the security of all customer information. We will never give or sell your personal details to a third party except where we are obliged to by law (see the section on Confidentiality, below) or when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. This section of the site explains how we use your information.

Visitors to our Website

When someone visits alfordtilesandstoves.co.uk we use third party software, Matomo, hosted by SiteE@se, our web developer, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is anonymised and processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow SiteE@se to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do need to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Customer Information...

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

When you place an order or make an enquiry with Alford Tiles and Woodburning Stove Company there are certain pieces of information which we will need. These are: name, address, telephone number and email address. We do NOT receive or store credit card details as these are handled securely by our preferred internet payment processing provider, PayPal. You shall be liable for the accuracy of customer information you provide to us.

Once we have this information, we will be able to send you, by email, a quotation or confirmation of your order. In the unlikely event of a problem occurring with your order / enquiry, we will try to contact you by telephone or email so that we can inform you of the situation and discuss your alternative options.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can assist us in doing this by updating your personal information in My Account after logging in. You can access, check, amend and delete information that we hold about you from within your account.

If we are required to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

Using Our Contact Form

To make it easy for visitors to email us we have a contact form on our website.  Through this we receive visitor names and email addresses.  We use that information to respond to requests, queries and comments that visitors may make.  This information is not stored on the website.  It is sent in standard email format to an authorised member of staff and processed using using standard email software such as Outlook.

This privacy notice does not cover any links within this site linking to other websites. Those sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you’ll need to check that site’s privacy statement.

Access to Your Personal Information

You can access, check, amend and delete information that we hold about you after logging into your accountFrom your account you can also make a custom request to us about the information we hold.
